The tradition of the Mother Lode Round-Up continues as a tribute to the Western heritage in the Mother Lode. The Mother Lode Round-Up begins with the Cowgirl luncheon in April. Then "saddle up" for a week-long experience of Cowboy and Small Town tradition that winds up with the Round-Up Parade and Rodeo on Mother's Day weekend.

Kennedy Meadows is located about 60 miles East of Sonora, nestled high in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Stay at the Resort, or get packed into the Emigrant Wilderness or Southern Yosemite National Park.

Season from April to October.

"You can ride for days and not meet anyone. That's what freedom means to me."

Hiking opportunities are abundant around Kennedy Meadows. Hundreds of miles of trails surround the area. Trails into the Emigrant Wilderness and the Carson Iceberg Wilderness are numerous, and there is easy access to the Pacific Crest Trail.

Kennedy Meadows is a long established Resort & Pack Station. It has been a destination for families, groups, friends, and wilderness adventurers for over 90 years. The rustic cabins, old time saloon, horseback adventures, family style restaurant, and quality hunting and fishing have brought people back to Kennedy's for generations.

The people who come to Kennedy's year after year are more like friends and family rather than customers. Since the beginning, Kennedy Meadows, has been dedicated to providing a unique experience around the resort as well as in the wilderness.
